Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range

This octoban set combines two complementary references (OCT443N and OCT472N) and fits within the spirit of drum extensions designed to enrich playing with additional toms that are more directional and characterful than a standard tom.

Who This Drum/Instrument Is For

This set is aimed at intermediate to advanced drummers who want to broaden their sound palette and their possibilities for fills, accents, and breaks. Particularly relevant in progressive rock, fusion, metal, modern pop, and any context requiring additional percussive colors.

Features and Innovations

The inclusion of the HOW29W stand facilitates integration into the kit and helps stabilize the setup, while allowing the octobans to be placed within natural stick reach. The two elements OCT443N and OCT472N are designed to work together and offer a coherent extension.

Sound Characteristics

The octobans stand out with a more focused response and clear projection, ideal for sharp attacks and fast phrases. Their extension format allows for melodic runs, short accents, and percussive textures that easily stand out in a mix, both on stage and in the studio.
