Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range
This snare wire fits the "Starclassic" spirit: an approach focused on reliability and precision, with a uniform response across the entire width of the wire. It is a relevant option for replacing worn-out snare wires or refining the character of your snare drum without altering its tuning.
Who This Drum/Snare Wire Is For
Ideal for drummers from beginner to advanced seeking a responsive snare wire for rock, pop, funk, gospel, or music styles requiring a well-defined snare crack. Also very suitable for studio use to enhance articulation.
Features and Innovations
With its 20 strands, this snare wire aims for a balance between sensitivity and control: enough strands to capture nuances without excessively choking the resonant head. The carbon steel promotes a quick response and stable contact with the drumhead.
Sound
The Carbon Steel material delivers a more pronounced crack, a more direct attack, and increased definition of softer notes. On a 14-inch snare drum, it helps achieve a snappy response with a "sizzle" that is present but controllable depending on snare wire tension.
