A Microphone Designed for Vocals and the TC Helicon Effects Ecosystem

The MP-75 was developed with a simple idea: to offer a professional vocal microphone truly suited to contemporary music and stage performances enhanced by vocal processing. While many microphones labeled "for vocals" derive from models originally designed for instruments, TC Helicon positions the MP-75 as a 100 percent dedicated vocal microphone, with directivity and tuning consistent with modern demands: proximity, monitors, high stage volume, and the need for stability when activating reverb, doubling, harmony, or more pronounced effects.

Result: even when used without a processor, the MP-75 aims for a faithful timbre reproduction and a refined sound. And when paired with a compatible processor, it becomes a true performance tool, placing control exactly where the singer naturally has it: in the hand.

For Which Singers and Stage Situations?

The TC Helicon MP-75 is intended for singers who want a serious stage microphone, as well as for those who build their live identity around vocal effects. Its super-cardioid directivity helps limit bleed and keeps the voice clear in the mix, which is especially useful when processing amplifies ambience, breath, or stage noise.

It is ideal for setups requiring mobility: stages with movement, hosting, audience interaction, or any set where you don't want to rely on a floor button or a fixed-position control. The MP-75 is also designed for close use, typical of modern vocals, which promotes a strong presence and precise control of expression.

Touch Control and Performance-Oriented Design

Mic Control: Manage Effects Without Taking Your Eyes Off the Audience

The MP-75 integrates a momentary switch directly on the microphone. The goal is to make control more instinctive: a discreet gesture without breaking posture or searching for a distant control. Depending on the processor used, this control can activate or deactivate a function, manage a looper section, or toggle an effect during a phrase (for example, to speak to the audience with a "dry" voice).

  • VoiceLive Touch and VoiceLive 2: control of the Looper function and any function associated with the Shortcut.
  • VoiceTone Harmony-G XT: activation or deactivation of generated harmony voices.
  • VoiceTone Create XT: activation or deactivation of the effect, especially useful for alternating singing and speaking.
  • VoiceTone Synth: activation or deactivation of HardTune or Vocoding effects.
  • VoiceTone Singles: chaining multiple pedals, with activation or deactivation of those whose Mic Control is engaged.

Directivity and Rejection: An Asset When Effects Reveal Everything

Vocal processing often requires a cleaner pickup than traditional vocal setups: reverb or harmonizers quickly highlight sounds coming from the sides, stage background, or monitors. The MP-75's super-cardioid directivity is specifically designed to improve off-axis sound rejection, preserving vocal clarity and overall system stability.

Stage Design: Durability and User Comfort

The MP-75 is designed as a long-lasting stage microphone: formed zinc body, neodymium magnet, and a reinforced steel grille combined with proximity filtering in textile and foam. The whole is built to withstand real touring and rehearsal conditions while maintaining a natural grip. The microphone comes with a cylindrical textile protective case with zipper and a mounting clip compatible with EU and US threads, convenient for quick integration with any mic stand.
