A "plug-and-perform" solution tailored for singer-songwriters
The Perform-VG was designed to meet a very concrete need: achieving a polished vocal sound, natural harmonies, and an acoustic guitar that sits better in the PA system, without carrying a complex pedalboard. Its mounting on a microphone stand keeps controls within reach, allowing you to manage essentials in real-time, at the heart of the performance.
Who it's for: stage, rehearsals, open mics, weddings, coffeehouse gigs
This effects processor is aimed at singers who accompany themselves on acoustic guitar and want a fuller, more "album-like" sound without heavy setups. Ideal for pop, folk, acoustic rock, country, but also for cover setlists where a consistent sound from song to song is needed. In live settings, the Anti-Feedback and automatic processing provide reassurance: you stay focused on the performance, not the technical side.
Features: harmonies, intelligent processing, and remote control
At the core of the Perform-VG are 2 harmony voices controlled by your guitar playing: the unit "understands" your chords to generate coherent and musical backing vocals. On the vocal side, the Adaptive Tone section automatically optimizes EQ, compression, de-essing, and gating to improve vocal clarity and stability, complemented by easily adjustable reverb and echo. For guitar, dedicated processing (including BodyRez depending on configuration) helps the acoustic guitar regain body and presence in the PA.
To go further without letting go of your instrument, the Perform-VG supports extended control via footswitch (optional SWITCH-3 or SWITCH-6) and can also be operated via Mic Control with compatible microphones (e.g., MP-75 / MP-76), convenient for activating effects remotely between phrases. The USB port is used for firmware updates and maintenance.
Sound signature
The Perform-VG's sonic signature aims for a "finished" sound: a more stable voice in the mix, controlled dynamics without a "squashed" effect, and ambiances (reverb/echo) that add depth without muddying articulation. NaturalPlay harmonies prioritize a musical and credible stage sound with pleasant responsiveness: the cleaner and more precise your playing, the more naturally the harmonies follow your intentions. For acoustic guitar, the goal is to achieve a richer and more present signal in the front of house, especially when playing through a piezo or internal microphone.
