A modernized "Custom" AC30 in head format, true to VOX DNA
With the AC30CH, VOX adapts the aesthetic and sonic architecture of its legendary AC30 into a head configuration designed for guitarists who want to build their stack (head + cabinet) without losing the charm of the Custom circuits. It retains the "Vox Classic" visual spirit, the responsiveness of an all-tube amp, and the fundamentals that built the brand's reputation: immediate attack, musical mids, and chiseled highs.
This version adds a very current advantage: the Reactive Attenuator, designed to preserve the amp/speaker interaction and the typical "power" feel of an AC30 when it starts to work, while remaining usable at home or in the studio.

The VOX AC30CH is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a head with a strong character, capable of covering rehearsals and gigs, while remaining controllable in an apartment thanks to the reactive attenuation. The Reactive Attenuator is designed to preserve the amp/speaker interaction and the power feel at different volume levels. This allows exploiting the amp’s valve character in a home or studio setting.
What cabinet can be used with this 30 W head?
The speaker output accepts impedances of 16 ohms or 8 ohms. An external cabinet compatible with one of these impedances is required, as this is a head without a built-in speaker.
What channels and controls does the AC30CH offer?
Two channels are available: Normal with a volume control, and Top Boost with volume, bass, and treble controls. The Master section includes a Tone Cut and a Master Volume to adjust overall brightness and output level. The rated power is 30 W.
