Triumph : the "classic revisited" spirit in the Collective series
The Wampler Triumph is part of the Collective Series, designed to offer sounds inspired by the great overdrive standards, with direct handling and a real adjustment range. Its DNA is based on two circuits dear to Brian Wampler (the Bad Monkey and Boss SD-1 spirit), enriched with additional EQ stages and internal tweaks to gain definition and "glassy" brightness when you push the gain.
For whom, which styles, and in what situations?
The Triumph is aimed both at the guitarist building their first pedalboard and the demanding musician who wants a versatile overdrive pedal effective live. In blues and classic rock, it excels at edge-of-breakup, amp boosting, or as a main drive; in indie and pop, the 3-band EQ helps maintain presence without harshening the highs.
Its Punch voicing is ideal if you play at guitar volume: you can get a snappier attack and a stronger low end, then clean up the drive by lowering the instrument's volume knob to return to a very musical quasi-clean tone.
