A Modern Re-creation of an Iconic 70s "Jet" Phaser
In the 70s, the phaser became ubiquitous: on guitars and keyboards, in rock, funk, and pop. The Warm Audio Jet Phaser directly follows this tradition by faithfully recreating a legendary "Jet phase" circuit, famous for its versatility and especially for adding a fuzz circuit that transforms a simple phaser into a true effects machine. Warm Audio pays tribute down to the enclosure's look, while modernizing the whole with True Bypass operation and reliability designed for today's setups.
Who Is the Warm Audio Jet Phaser For?
The Jet Phaser is aimed at guitarists and bassists who want more than a "tame" phaser. In PHASE mode, it effortlessly covers vintage-typed modulations for funk grooves, rock arpeggios, or more airy pads in the studio. In JET mode, it becomes formidable for thick riffs, expressive leads, and psychedelic textures, with a personality that immediately stands out in a mix.
It is equally comfortable live (the very effective FAST/SLOW switch energizes a passage) and in the studio for layering takes and creating movement. Its size and 18V power supply make it a pedal designed to take center stage on a pedalboard oriented towards vintage, prog, funk, or experimental rock sounds.
Modes and Controls: A Phaser That Goes Much Further
The Warm Audio Jet Phaser offers six modes : PHASE 1 and PHASE 2 for traditional phaser (from moderate to pronounced), and JET 1 to 4 to activate the JET effect, i.e., the fuzz + phaser combination. The JET modes present four character combinations: bright/dark fuzz side, shallow/deep phaser side. Result: you move from a sharp, bright grain to a darker, massive fuzz while choosing the modulation depth.
The controls are designed for playing, not just tweaking: SLOW RATE sets the main speed, and the FAST/SLOW knob ramps the modulation up to a maximum speed, with a progressive transition inspired by a Leslie cabinet. Holding the FAST/SLOW action lets you stop at intermediate speeds, very expressive in live contexts. The RESONANCE control, active in all modes, highlights the effect's peaks and shifts toward more aggressive, almost synthetic textures.
In JET mode, the JET LEVEL potentiometer controls the output level: handy for balancing volume but also for using the pedal as a boost to make a solo stand out without changing amp or channel.
The Sound
In PHASE mode, the Jet Phaser delivers modulation with a decidedly 70s character: round, organic, with a very "musical" movement that emphasizes playing without overpowering it. Increasing the depth yields a more dramatic phaser, perfect for funk rhythms and psychedelic atmospheres.
In JET mode, the personality changes markedly: the fuzz adds grain, density, and a sense of drive, while the phaser adds that swirling "jet" dimension that makes the sound feel like it's taking off. With RESONANCE, you can go from a wide, smooth effect to sharper, more spatial sounds ideal for leads and special effects. The 18V power supply contributes to better dynamics and a broader response, particularly appreciated with single-coil pickups or bass.

Questions frequently asked
What are the modes of the Warm Audio Jet Phaser?
The six modes include PHASE 1 and PHASE 2 for modulation only, as well as JET 1 to JET 4 which combine fuzz and phaser. The JET modes offer bright or dark fuzz characters, with shallow or deep modulation.
Does the FAST/SLOW switch allow an intermediate speed?
The transition between SLOW RATE and fast speed is gradual, with behavior inspired by a Leslie cabinet. Holding the FAST/SLOW switch makes it possible to stop at intermediate speeds.
Can this pedal be used as a boost for a solo?
In JET modes, the JET LEVEL control adjusts the output level and can increase volume to make a solo stand out. This applies to all four JET modes 1 to 4.
What power supply is required for this phaser pedal?
The specified power supply is 18 V, with a current consumption of 9 mA. A DC ADAPTER / BATTERY switch is present on the enclosure.
What are the dimensions of the Jet Phaser?
The unit measures 26 x 16.5 x 5.7 cm and weighs 2 kg. The black enclosure is designed for pedalboard installation.
