The Essentials to Know About the Warwick MC 300 Multiconnect Bass Amp Head

  • 300 W at 4 ohms (180 W at 8 ohms): an ideal power reserve for rehearsal, studio, and stage in an ultra-portable format.

  • Built-in USB and Bluetooth: play along with wireless playbacks and enjoy modern connectivity designed for today's uses.

  • Integrated tuner + Mute mode: silent adjustments and quick instrument changes without an extra pedal.

  • Symmetrical XLR DI with Pre/Post EQ + Ground Lift: a clean and controlled front-of-house send, whatever the setup.

A "next-generation" head in the Warwick spirit: compact, precise, ready for anything

The Warwick MC 300 Multiconnect follows the logic of modern solid-state heads: a compact format, Class D amplification, and truly useful features for the musician. The goal is clear: maintain a clear and dynamic bass sound while simplifying life on stage and at home thanks to the integrated tuner and connectivity options (USB, Bluetooth).

Who is the Warwick MC 300 Multiconnect for?

This bass amp head suits both the beginner bassist looking for a reliable and scalable solution and the experienced musician seeking a "small" head capable of delivering serious performances. In the studio, its precision and DI output facilitate recording, while the headphone output and auxiliary input make it an excellent working tool. In rehearsal and concerts, its power and clarity provide a solid foundation in the mix, from funk to rock, including pop, modern metal, reggae, or gospel, whenever you want a clean and controlled base.

Complete connectivity, precise control: everything to manage your sound chain

The MC 300 adopts an efficient single-channel design, with direct front panel controls: Gain, Volume, and a 4-band EQ (Bass / Low Mid, Hi Mid / Treble) with stacked potentiometers to optimize space. An LED clipping indicator helps set the input level precisely. For convenience, a Bluetooth button and a tuner button are available on the front panel, with a tuning indicator, as well as a Mute button to instantly cut the signal.

To integrate effects, the head offers an effects loop (Send/Return on 6.35mm mono Jack) with separate level controls, very useful for adjusting levels to multi-effects, delays, reverbs, or external preamps. For stage and PA, the symmetrical XLR DI output features a Pre/Post EQ selector and a Ground Lift switch to reduce hum and choose whether to send your "raw" or EQ'ed sound. Finally, a line-out (6.35mm mono Jack) with a Fullrange/Bi-Amp selector completes routing options, and the speaker twist output ensures a robust connection to the cabinet.

Sound signature: a clean, punchy, and highly usable foundation

With its solid-state design and Class D amplification, the Warwick MC 300 favors a clear, fast, and defined sound, perfect for highlighting attack, bass accuracy, and note clarity even in a dense mix. The clean tone remains solid and articulated, with dynamics that respond well to playing variations (fingers, pick, slap). Pushing the gain yields a slight grain and density sensation, while the 4-band EQ allows fine sculpting of mid presence (to stand out) or, conversely, rounding off the high end for a more "old school" sound. This head is designed to be a reliable platform: excellent on its own and equally relevant with pedals (overdrive, compressor, preamp) thanks to its headroom reserve and effects loop.
