The PJ configuration and active EQ make it comfortable in rock, pop, funk, punk, and metal: the P pickup provides body in the mix, while the J adds precision for pick playing, ghost notes, and more articulated lines.
The Sound
The passive MEC P + J pickup duo offers a very usable spectrum: round, percussive lows on the P side, more "singing" mids and defined highs on the J side. The active RockBass electronics (Treble/Bass) allow quick adjustment of the foundation and brightness depending on the amp, room, or style, while maintaining a direct and clear character.
