Yamaha acoustic expertise at the service of the solo musician

With the Acompass 60, Yamaha brings together two areas at the heart of its expertise: acoustic guitar design and sound reinforcement. This compact acoustic amplifier meets a simple need: to let the voice and instrument be heard while preserving their character, without requiring a cumbersome setup.

Its design focuses on natural reproduction and intuitive operation. For musicians who write, sing and accompany themselves on guitar, this approach makes it possible to stay focused on the performance rather than on setting up the equipment.

A partner for working on your songs and sharing them

The Acompass 60 is primarily aimed at guitarist-singers and singer-songwriters. Its intuitive interface is equally well suited to musicians discovering acoustic amplification and more experienced performers looking to combine vocals and guitar in a compact setup.

At home, it supports arrangement work and repertoire preparation. During rehearsals or intimate performances, it allows vocal and instrument connections to be centralized. For wider sound distribution, its line output provides a connection to a sound reinforcement system, depending on the needs of the venue.

Folk, singer-songwriter music, acoustic pop or fingerpicking accompaniment: its sonic character suits styles in which attack nuances and vocal articulation play an important role. The aim is to serve your playing, whether it is based on delicate arpeggios or more forceful rhythmic chords.

Connections suited to your acoustic setup

Two input sections are provided: GUITAR and MIC/INST. Each features a balanced XLR connection and an unbalanced mono 6.35mm jack connection. This allows you to build your setup around your instrument and a microphone, using connection formats commonly found in musical environments.

The LINE OUT on a balanced XLR connection allows the signal to be sent to compatible sound reinforcement equipment. The headphone output on a stereo 6.35mm jack provides personal monitoring, while the AUX input on a stereo mini-jack accommodates an external audio source, useful for accompanying a practice session with reference tracks.

The USB Type-C port is reserved for firmware updates: it should therefore not be considered a USB audio recording connection. The AC power supply accepts a voltage of 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, a range to take into account when preparing for travel.

A natural sound that lets the voice and guitar breathe

The character of the Acompass 60 is built around acoustic fidelity and expressiveness. Rather than seeking the saturated tone of an electric guitar amplifier, it aims to reproduce the instrument's and voice's timbre faithfully. Touch variations, rhythmic accents and vocal expression remain at the heart of the listening experience.

Its 8-inch full-range loudspeaker and 60 W of power form the foundation of this sound reproduction. For an acoustic repertoire, the benefit is maintaining continuity between what you play and what you hear amplified, so you can retain your performance reference points.
