The Pacifica Professional: The "Do-It-All" Spirit Elevated to Studio Level

Originally designed as an all-purpose electric guitar, the Pacifica has established itself through consistency, musicality, and an excellent comfort-to-performance ratio. The Pacifica Professional PACP12 sits at the pinnacle of this philosophy: rigorous component selection, Japanese manufacturing, and meticulous finishes, with an identity as modern on stage as it is precise in recording.

For Whom and Which Styles?

The PACP12 is aimed at intermediate to professional guitarists seeking a versatile, responsive, and reliable electric guitar for everyday use. It excels in funk, pop, indie, blues, modern rock, and fusion: the single coils provide definition and dynamics for clean rhythms, while the humbucker delivers attack, thickness, and sustain for more aggressive riffs and solos.

The Sound

The alder body, optimized through Yamaha Acoustic Design, offers a natural balance: firm lows, present mids, and clear highs, ideal for cutting through a mix without harshness. The Reflectone pickups shape the palette: the HH7b bridge humbucker provides density and a slight, musical compression when overdriven, while the HS7n single coils (middle and neck) deliver precise and snappy cleans. Thanks to the 5-position selector and push-pull (humbucker coil deactivation), the guitar instantly shifts from crystalline tones to thicker textures without losing definition. The combination of a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard balances attack and warmth, and the Gotoh 2-point tremolo paired with I.R.A. treatment promotes quick response, lively resonance, and generous sustain.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To maintain the original setup spirit, a set of 9-42 gauge strings (nickel-plated steel) is perfectly suitable. A strap with standard locks, a non-marking stand to preserve the finish, and a good quality 6.35 mm jack cable (often more comfortable with a right-angle connector on the guitar side) ideally complement the instrument.
