With the Pickup Mute series, Yamaha has developed mutes designed to meet the current needs of musicians: reducing sound level without sacrificing playing feel, while offering reliable sound capture thanks to an internal microphone. On the PM6X, the design has been optimized around microphone placement and internal acoustics to fully exploit the principle of Brass Resonance Modeling, preserving a more natural sound output.

Designed for the bugle, this mute prioritizes significant attenuation (rated between -25 dB and -35 dB ) while aiming for consistent pitch accuracy across all registers. Its compact design ensures stable insertion into the bell, with a playing feel described as natural and less restrictive than some traditional mutes. The integrated and optimized mini condenser microphone provides direct sound capture inside the mute, useful for headphone monitoring or recording through a compatible system.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
