For decades, Yamaha has transferred its acoustic expertise into digital pianos designed for everyday use. The YDP-S36 is part of the ARIUS series, known for its balance between playing feel, musicality, and ease of use. Its slim design addresses space constraints without sacrificing the essentials: a credible touch, inspiring piano sound, and useful features to progress day by day.

Keyboard Design

The Yamaha ARIUS YDP-S36 is equipped with an 88-key GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keyboard, featuring heavier resistance in the bass and lighter in the treble, mimicking an acoustic piano. The touch response is adjustable (Hard, Medium, Soft, Fixed) to suit your attack and playing style. The black keys with a matte finish improve grip and comfort, a real advantage during long sessions. On the expression side, the three-pedal unit (Damper with half-pedal, Sostenuto, Soft) allows you to work on piano repertoire with sensations close to a traditional upright piano.

Sound Quality

The sound engine is based on the Yamaha CFX piano voice, designed to deliver clarity, presence, and a solid bass register while maintaining a singing treble. The VRM Lite (Virtual Resonance Modeling) enriches the resonance sensation, while the IAC (Intelligent Acoustic Control) helps maintain a balanced sound even at low volume. The maximum polyphony of 192 notes secures dense passages with sustain and layering. Finally, the 2 x 8 W amplification and 2 x 12 cm speakers with diffuser promote more even projection, pleasant both for solo playing and music listening via Bluetooth.
