A Modern "Furniture" Model at the Heart of the KORG Experience
The KORG C1 Air is designed for those who want an elegant digital piano in their living room without sacrificing playing feel and credible sound quality. Within the range, it strikes a balance between responsive touch, refined piano sounds, and modern features such as Bluetooth audio and recording. The result is a versatile, coherent instrument suitable for daily practice, accompaniment, composition, and song covers, from serious beginners to advanced musicians.
Keyboard Design
At the core of the C1 Air is the RH3 (Real Weighted Hammer Action 3) 88-key keyboard (A0 to C8), a graded hammer mechanism that replicates the logic of a grand piano: heavier resistance in the bass, lighter in the treble. The touch remains responsive for fast repetitions while offering good nuance reading, essential for working on dynamics and articulation. To suit your style, five curves are available (light, normal, heavy, stable, fixed) to adjust the relationship between velocity and volume, whether you play very softly or with a stronger attack.
Sound Quality
The sound section is based on stereo PCM generation and a maximum polyphony of 120 voices, useful for preserving rich harmonies, pedal sustains, and layering. The piano offers 30 tones organized in banks, with a clear focus on acoustic timbres: two grand concert pianos with complementary characters ("German" and "Japanese" types) allow you to choose between a rounder, deeper sound or a brighter, more incisive tone depending on the piece. For sound output, the C1 Air integrates an efficient system with 25 W x 2 and two 10 cm speakers, delivering a stable stereo image, well-grounded bass, and pleasant presence even at moderate volume.
