Sound and Design

The YFH-8310Z offers a soft, warm, and fluid sound, with controlled projection typical of the bugle, ideal for melodic lines and dynamics. The work on the piston block aims for high respiratory efficiency and ideal playing resistance: the attack is clean, the response homogeneous, and the instrument remains comfortable over long phrases. The MalonePipe leadpipe, shorter and featuring a tapered section, provides a clear gain in stability in the high register, ease of sound production, and intonation. Finally, the design of the brass leadpipe screw (knurled cylinder, hollow shape) contributes to a freer playing feel, practical tuning, and better tonal definition, while optimizing the overall balance of the instrument.
