Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
Introduced at NAMM 2018, the K Zildjian Sweet series expands the K universe towards a more modern tonal direction while preserving the historic DNA of the K family: a dark, complex, and deeply musical personality. This collection was designed to meet the needs of contemporary music, with cymbals that are both warm, expressive, and immediately "playable" in a versatile set. The K Sweet Crash 18-inch sits at the heart of the range: a central, widely used size capable of serving as the main crash both in rehearsal, studio, and concert settings.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
The K Sweet Crash 18-inch is aimed at intermediate to expert drummers seeking a sensitive, nuanced, and easy-to-play cymbal. Its dark/medium balance allows it to fit into many styles: modern pop, alternative rock, indie, neo-soul, funk, contemporary jazz, gospel, RnB, cinematic music, and studio sessions. It is also perfect for drummers who want an expressive cymbal requiring little effort, capable of moving from a light, velvety crash to a fuller, more powerful accent without becoming harsh.
