From the Q2n to the Q2n-4K: 4K Serving Musicians
Successor to the Q2n, the Zoom Q2n-4K takes a leap forward with 4K resolution, extended dynamic range HDR, and bitrates up to 76 Mbps, offering more detail and latitude in post-production. It adds a Micro-HDMI output, 5 viewing angles, and 12 "Scene" presets to instantly adapt to concert lighting. Compact and robust, it establishes itself as the all-in-one reference of the Q series for music video.
Who It's For and What It's For
Solo musicians, bands, teachers, and content creators will find in the Q2n-4K a simple solution to document performances, produce demos, instrumental vlogs, and online courses. As a standalone recorder on microSD, a USB webcam, or USB microphone, it integrates seamlessly into a home studio setup as well as a live stage environment.
Key Features for Stage, Studio, and Streaming
4K HDR Image Tailored for Concert Lighting
The 150-degree F2.8/15.2 mm lens captures a wide scene while HDR balances highlights and shadows. The 12 "Scene" presets-from "Jazz Club" to "Concert Lighting" or "Outdoor"-speed up your settings according to the ambiance, delivering clean results right from the capture.
Precise and Powerful X/Y Audio
The X/Y stereo capsules provide a realistic sound image, handling up to 120 dB SPL without distortion. Low-cut filter, automatic gain, and headphone/line output secure your levels and monitoring, whether filming in a rehearsal room or on a large stage.
Ready for Live and Content Creation
Connected via USB, the Q2n-4K becomes a webcam and USB microphone for Mac/PC and iPad, compatible with OBS, Skype, and major platforms. You can also route audio to an iOS device for continuous streaming or record in MOV format on microSD (up to 256 GB) for an efficient mobile workflow.
Compact and Reliable Ergonomics
A color LCD screen facilitates framing, and the 5 FOVs cover from tight shots to wide angles. Power by two AA batteries (included) ensures autonomy on the go, while the Micro-HDMI output enables external monitoring or capture via a capture card.
