Questions frequently asked
How many channels and preamps does the Allen & Heath SQ6 offer?
The console handles 48 channels and features 24 microphone preamps on XLR. Three local stereo inputs complete the connectivity: two on TRS jacks and one on a minijack.
Can a concert be recorded multitrack on this console?
SQ-Drive recording allows stereo and 16-channel multitrack capture at 24 bit / 96 kHz. A USB stereo recording and playback function is also integrated.
What processing and effects are available on the channels?
Each input has a preamp, high-pass filter, parametric EQ, gate, compressor, and delay. The outputs also feature a parametric EQ, 1/3 octave graphic equalizer, gate, compressor, and delay. Eight RackExtra stereo effects engines are available with dedicated returns.
Is the SQ6 compatible with a digital stage rack?
The EtherCON SLink port supports dSnake, DX, or GigaACE protocols at 64 x 64. It enables use of DX, AR, and AB audio racks, as well as sharing with another SQ or a dLive system.
Can the console be controlled from a tablet?
Remote control from a tablet is supported, provided a router is added (not included). The console also offers 300 scene memories, 16 SoftKeys, and 25 motorized 100 mm faders.
