From the TF Series to Rack Format: Yamaha's Space-Saving Spirit
Yamaha designs its consoles closely aligned with field usage, and the TF Series clearly follows this logic. Introduced in 2015, the TouchFlow Operation concept was developed to speed up mixing decisions while maintaining an intuitive approach for less experienced users.
The TF-RACK carries the DNA of the TF1 in a rack-mount chassis: same philosophy, same performance, but in a format particularly suitable for compact control rooms, embedded systems, and events where the console must stay out of the way... while remaining at the heart of the sound.
Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?
The Yamaha TF-RACK is aimed at sound engineers, contractors, venue technicians, musicians, and integrators looking for an all-in-one digital console for small to medium live systems, corporate events, fixed installations, or hybrid front-of-house/monitoring setups.
Its rack format facilitates mounting in flight cases, technical racks, backstage, or remote control rooms. With its 16 outputs, it handles both main PA and monitoring (wedges or in-ear) comfortably, while remaining quick to learn for rotating teams.
