Dual isobaric woofer: more low end, fewer compromises

Coaxial source: coherence, focus and stereo imaging

The midrange driver and tweeter are arranged coaxially so that they behave as a single source across a broad part of the frequency spectrum. This solution promotes improved time coherence and more stable perception of the soundstage. The stereo image gains precision, the center locks in more securely and movements across the panorama can be judged with greater confidence.

This arrangement also limits undesirable effects associated with certain placements, particularly irregularities in the upper range. This is a tangible advantage for studios where positioning sometimes has to adapt to the room or existing furniture.

FPGA DSP and factory calibration

True to the brand’s DNA, the Atlas i8 incorporates proprietary digital processing based on FPGA technology. The combination of FIR and IIR filters makes it possible to align the frequency response and time-domain behavior with great precision. Transients remain crisp, reverb tails are easier to perceive and listening fatigue is reduced during extended sessions.

Each loudspeaker is calibrated during manufacture and then carefully checked to ensure consistent performance. This preparatory work is essential for a monitor intended for critical applications, as it directly contributes to the reliability of mixing decisions.
