An HyperDeck Designed for Current 4K, Between Studio and Broadcast
The HyperDeck range has established itself as a reliable solution for capturing and playing back video signals in demanding environments. The HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro takes this further by combining 12G SDI integration, extensive 4K support (including 4K DCI), and a "one-touch" control approach designed for control rooms.
Compared to previous generations, the evolution is clear for modern uses: large 7-inch touchscreen for monitoring, 10-bit scopes directly on screen, 3D LUTs on the SDI monitoring output for previewing, and especially 10 Gb/s networking for shared workflows (network recording, remote control, and centralized media management).
Live Production, Post-Production, Premium Streaming: Who Is It For?
Designed for teams that need to record and playback without losing time, this recorder/player targets directors, DITs, control room operators, broadcast managers, and streaming technicians. It fits perfectly in live production (capture, playback, backup), post-production (fast ingest, proxies, verification), or playout (media launch, looping, automation via RS-422).
Its integrated monitoring, dedicated connectivity, and widely compatible recording formats facilitate multicam setups. The scrubbing wheel navigation and display of critical information (timecode, audio levels, scopes) are designed to get straight to the point, even when shooting or broadcast pace leaves no room for approximation.
Questions frequently asked
Does the HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro record in 4K 60 fps?
Recording supports Ultra HD 2160p up to 59.94/60 fps via 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 connections, while 4K DCI is handled up to 30 fps.
Which codecs are available for filming a concert and editing quickly?
ProRes and DNx formats are offered for post-production workflows. H.265 and H.264 codecs allow creation of lighter files. HD proxies can also speed up offline editing.
Is it possible to record a protected HDMI source?
Capturing copy-protected HDMI sources is not supported.
What monitoring features are built into this 4K video recorder?
A 7-inch touchscreen LCD displays image, timecode, and audio levels. The 10-bit scopes include waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, and histogram. A 33-point 3D LUT can be applied to the SDI monitoring output.
How to store recordings and transfer them over the network?
Recording can be done on SD card, external USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 drive, or via network. A 10 Gb/s RJ-45 Ethernet port allows network recording and remote control, while an optional M.2 PCIe NVMe slot serves as cache memory up to 16 Gb/s.
