GT-1000Core: BOSS's High-End DNA, Designed for the Pedalboard

The GT-1000Core condenses BOSS's "big machine" approach into a portable unit without sacrificing the essentials: amp and cabinet simulations, iconic effects, advanced routing, and realistic playing feel. It relies on AIRD (Augmented Impulse Response Dynamics) technology to better emulate amp behavior in various configurations (stage amp, return input, PA, recording). The result: a processor that can become the brain of your setup or integrate as a "mega stomp" in the middle of your favorite pedals.

Note: BOSS has updated the GT-1000Core through system updates, including version 1.10 (January 2022), which notably added mastering effects, new "Master" delays derived from historic algorithms, more IR options, and virtual microphone types.

Who Is the GT-1000Core For, and In What Contexts Does It Make a Difference?

The Boss GT-1000Core targets guitarists and bassists seeking a professional sound and total versatility in an easy-to-transport format. It suits both advanced musicians building complex patches (dual amp, stereo, parallel effects) and gigging players needing fast, reliable changes with clear handling in "Memory" mode (preset recall) or "Manual" mode (like a traditional pedalboard).

In live settings, it can serve as a complete rig to a console, a minimalist "fly rig" solution, or a hub around which you add external pedals via the Send/Return loops (useful for the four-cable method). In the home studio, its USB Audio/MIDI interface facilitates recording, editing, and re-amping while maintaining a fast and coherent workflow from project to project.

Usage Tip: to best exploit amp and cabinet simulations, wideband playback (such as FRFR speakers) or studio monitoring is often the most faithful solution. If you run it through a traditional guitar amp, remember to adjust output settings to maintain the proper bass/treble balance.
