The CT-FS1BK, a New Expression of the CASIOTONE Spirit

Inheriting the CASIOTONE CT-S1, the Casio CT-FS1BK retains an intuitive interface and an approach focused on the enjoyment of playing. Its monochrome Black finishing, also available in white on the CT-FS1WE, reflects a minimalist design philosophy. The accessible controls and acoustic fabric integrated into the speakers create a discreet instrument designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life.

Its difference also lies in Feel Sync, a function that offers another way to interact with music. Rather than starting by mastering a song, you can explore the keyboard by following your feelings, accompanied by a song recorded on your device.

Keyboard Design

The CT-FS1BK features 61 velocity-sensitive keys. Three sensitivity levels let you adjust the sound's response to your playing dynamics; the response can also be disabled for consistent intensity. The monochrome keys extend the instrument's design and contribute to the Feel Sync experience.

Measuring 930 mm in width, 258 mm in depth and weighing 4.5 kg without batteries, this portable keyboard is easy to set up and move. Its design prioritizes a direct playing experience, with controls arranged for quick access to essential functions.

Sound Quality

The AiX sound source reproduces the characteristics of acoustic, electric and electronic instruments. The 61 tones include a stereo acoustic piano, electric pianos and strings. The 64-note polyphony supports chords and layered sounds.

Two 13 x 6 cm speakers, powered by 2.5 W + 2.5 W amplification, provide sound projection. The Horizontal Bass Reflex system supports the low frequencies, while Volume Sync EQ preserves their presence and the clarity of the high frequencies at low volume. The surround effect creates a wider sense of space.

With the dedicated Feel Sync app, start a song recorded on your device, then play along with the rhythm and follow your inspiration. This approach invites you to participate in music without any prior knowledge. It supports WAV, AIFF and MP3 files, but does not support streaming services, including subscription-based services.

Advanced Functions

The supplied WU-BT10 adapter adds Bluetooth audio and MIDI connectivity. It lets you listen to music from a compatible device through the keyboard's speakers and exchange MIDI data wirelessly. The USB connection also supports MIDI, with 16-channel multitimbral reception.

Transposition, octave shifting, tuning and temperaments let you adapt the keyboard to different repertoires. An audio input, a pedal jack and a headphone output complete the connection options. To play away from a power outlet, the CT-FS1BK accepts six AA batteries, with an advertised battery life of approximately three hours depending on the conditions of use.
