A Breadboard Designed for Modern Pedal DIY

In the DIY world, the breadboard is the go-to tool for prototyping a circuit without soldering, validating a schematic, testing component values, and iterating within minutes. The Coppersound Breadboard Mini adopts this principle but adapts it to the guitar realm: instead of tinkering with temporary connections, you get a clean and coherent base with input, output, power, and bypass already integrated.

This Mini version is part of a range available in several sizes (Mini, Small, Medium, Large, Deluxe) to choose the prototyping space suited to the complexity of your projects, from simple boosts to denser circuits.

Who Is the Coppersound Breadboard Mini For?

This breadboard is aimed at curious guitarists, modders, makers, and electronics enthusiasts who want to understand "what's going on" inside a pedal and build their own sounds. It is also very suitable for beginners : having connectors already in place helps avoid common mistakes when plugging in the instrument, amp, and power supply.

Practically, it is perfect for workshop use (development, component testing, clipping comparisons, filter trials), but also for preparing a project before transferring it to a stripboard, PCB, or enclosure build. It's the missing link between the idea and the final pedal, especially if you want to prototype sounds oriented towards blues, rock, stoner, lo-fi, or more experimental textures.

Features and Design: Frictionless Prototyping

The Coppersound Breadboard Mini comes pre-equipped to speed up your testing sessions: you wire your circuit on the point area, connect your guitar and amp to the audio jacks, power it via the DC input, then use the bypass switch for instant toggling between the direct signal and your prototype. The status LED provides a clear indicator, essential when making successive modifications and comparisons.

Another practical detail: the integrated pin headers facilitate connections to power rails and signal points, keeping wiring neater and more organized. Finally, the mounting holes allow you to fix the base onto a board or workbench, a real plus when handling components, measuring with a multimeter, or testing at playing volume.

Sound Characteristics

The Coppersound Breadboard Mini is not an effect pedal per se: it does not "sound" in place of your circuit. Its purpose is precisely to provide a stable and coherent testing environment so you can hear as clearly as possible the impact of your choices (capacitor values, diode types, transistor biasing, power filtering, etc.).

Thanks to the bypass, you can make immediate and objective comparisons: same playing level, same amp, same guitar, and instant switching between the direct sound and your build. It's the ideal tool to refine overdrive dynamics, balance EQ, control fuzz bass, or check background noise before moving to the "enclosure pedal" stage.
