A Versatile Standard in the "Medium" Range
The Medium tension is the most popular choice among violists as it offers a reliable compromise: consistent feel under the fingers, tuning stability, and homogeneous behavior across the entire set of strings. Combined with the Long Scale format, it helps maintain consistent playing references on larger-sized violas.
For Which Musicians and Uses?
These strings are intended for the vast majority of musicians, from serious beginners to advanced players. They are suitable for daily practice (scales, studies) as well as classical contexts, chamber music, and orchestra, where stable and predictable playability is sought.
Sound Characteristics
The combination of Long Scale and Medium tension favors a balanced response: clear attack, control of dynamics, and comfort during position shifts. Packaging in hermetic pouches helps preserve the surface condition of the strings, providing a more consistent feel and durability over time against corrosive factors.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
For routine maintenance, a soft cloth (such as microfiber) is recommended after each session to limit deposits that can accelerate wear.
