Its distinctive feature is the Age control (aging). In the "new tape" position, the echo stays cleaner, better defined, with subtle wow and flutter. Increasing Age gradually introduces a more "lived-in" texture: more pronounced degradation, the feeling of tape that has run for hours, with that slight unpredictability that makes the echo alive... but without the downsides of a real tape mechanism.
The pedal includes an on/off switch and tap tempo control via a compatible external switch (such as the M199 Tap Tempo Switch).
