A Double Cut Designed for Today's Musician
With the FT-DC_62-DS Desert Sand, Fullertone offers a modern interpretation of the Double Cut electric guitar: the aesthetic remains timeless, while the choice of materials and assembly aim for stability and comfort both on stage and in the studio. The Fullertone 2-bolt Long Tenon neck joint enhances the sense of continuity between neck and body, providing a very direct "neck in the hand" feel.
For Which Guitarist and Styles?
This guitar is especially suited for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an expressive electric guitar capable of switching between rich chords, clean arpeggios, and denser tones without changing instruments. The pickup set covers pop, funk, indie, vintage rock, blues very well, and also adapts to more modern textures thanks to the bridge humbucker and 3-position selector.
The Sound
The torrefied black limba body delivers a lively response and a nice presence in the midrange, with clear lows and a sharp attack. The torrefied maple neck adds stability and a drier, more precise feel, ideal for maintaining definition in clean tones. On the electronics side, the two noise-free Tonerider SQ1-WH single coils provide crisp attacks and detailed highs, perfect for rhythm playing and clean positions. The Soapbar Humbucker at the bridge thickens the signal, increases output level, and adds body for riffs and leads. The CTS 250K components and Orange Drop 0.022 microF capacitor ensure smooth tonal progression, useful for transitioning from an open sound to a rounder tone without harsh loss.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
Delivered with D'Addario NYXL 010-046 strings, this FT-DC_62-DS is ideal with the same gauge to maintain the balance of the floating tremolo. The instrument comes with a FT Padded Gigbag for daily transport and protection.
