A compact tri-drive designed for Electro-Harmonix's Pico range

With the Pico Triboro Bridge, Electro-Harmonix condenses the essentials of a modern saturation arsenal into a minimalist chassis. The idea is simple: to have a drive base capable of covering multiple roles (gritty boost, rhythmic distortion, textured fuzz) while remaining easy to integrate into an existing setup. Its "all-in-one" approach makes it both a central pedal for a lightweight pedalboard and an ideal complement to add a third gain character alongside your usual overdrive.

Who is the Triboro Bridge for, and in which styles does it make a difference?

This pedal is aimed at guitarists (and any musician seeking versatile saturation) who want to move from a light crunch to massive saturation without multiplying pedals. In blues and rock, the Overdrive provides attack and dynamics to thicken a clean channel. In alternative rock, punk, or hard rock, the Distortion delivers the bite needed for tight riffs. And for garage, stoner, or more experimental textures, the Fuzz mode with Gate and low-pass filter opens up a very broad playground. Live, its Pico format and direct control are perfect for a "plug and play" pedalboard; in the studio, the equalization and modes allow you to quickly find the right drive color depending on the guitar, pickups, and amp.

Three modes, smart controls, and input shaping to modernize the tone

The Pico Triboro Bridge revolves around two essential controls: Volume (output level) and Gain (amount of saturation). In Overdrive and Distortion modes, you benefit from a very effective Bass and Treble pair to tighten the low end, tame excessive brightness, or conversely, bring out the pick attack in a dense mix. In Fuzz mode, the logic becomes more radical: one control acts as a Gate to manage the fuzz behavior (tighter, more aggressive, quieter between notes), while the other controls a low-pass filter to go from a sharp fuzz to a darker, thicker texture. A Type switch allows you to select the mode, with an LED clearly indicating the saturation color. Finally, the Input Contouring EQ adds tone shaping at the input, useful for achieving more modern and sculpted sounds regardless of the chosen mode.

The sound

The Triboro Bridge stands out for its versatility and immediate usability : the Overdrive maintains a dynamic response, ideal for playing with guitar volume and working on touch. The Distortion adds more density and sustain for punchy rhythms and standout leads. The Fuzz mode can become very expressive: thanks to the Gate, you can get a tighter fuzz, almost "synthy" on certain attacks, or conversely let the sustain breathe depending on your settings. The low-pass filter helps tame the highs, thicken the tone, and adapt the texture to the amp (bright combo, darker stack, direct input, etc.). Add the input contour and you get a pedal capable of shifting from organic saturation to a more "modern voiced" drive, all while remaining compact and easy to dial in.
