A Drum Echo + Spring Reverb Duo: Formula B's Vintage DNA
The Edge Echo Verb follows the tradition of "old school" effects that shaped decades of recorded guitar sounds: on one side, a lively echo inspired by famous magnetic drum machines (with warm, slightly grainy repeats and a very musical progressive degradation); on the other, an amp-character spring reverb capable of ranging from a short slapback bounce to a wider, enveloping tail.
Handmade in Todi, Italy, it clearly targets guitarists who want to recapture the depth and movement typical of vintage textures, while keeping a pedal designed for a modern pedalboard (tap tempo, dual I/O, direct controls).
Who Is the Edge Echo Verb For?
This pedal suits both beginner guitarists (simple settings, immediate results) and experienced musicians seeking a precise tone: an expressive spring reverb and an analog-grain echo, perfect for adding volume without drowning the attack.
Style-wise, it excels in surf, vintage rock, blues, rockabilly, and indie, but is also formidable for ambient and cinematic textures when extending the reverb's time and release. In the studio, it adds a very "mix-ready" depth; live, the tap tempo eases setup for each song.

Questions frequently asked
What is the maximum delay time of the Formula B Edge Echo Verb?
The Echo section offers a Time setting up to 600 ms, suitable for short slapbacks as well as more spaced echoes.
Does the pedal have a tap tempo?
A right footswitch controls the tap tempo. A green LED flashes according to the programmed rhythm. The left footswitch activates or deactivates the echo.
How are the echo and spring reverb adjusted?
The echo is adjusted with Mix, Fdbk for feedback, and Time. The reverb uses the Lvl and Alo controls, the latter affecting the release up to a long tail.
Can the echo and reverb connections be separated?
Thanks to its 2 inputs and 2 outputs on 6.35 mm jacks, this model allows effect loop routing, splitting, or separation of the echo and reverb paths.
What power supply is required for this Formula B pedal?
The power supply requires a 9 V DC source with a negative center, consuming 89 mA. Battery operation is not supported.
