A Modern Vision of Delay: Digital Precision and "Analog" Feel

The Future Factory embodies a very "studio" philosophy of delay: high fidelity, advanced control, and easy integration into a pedalboard or more complex setups. Its 32-bit DSP processing emphasizes the precision of repeats and stability of settings, while the analog mixer and HTS circuit help maintain a natural attack and musical response, even on very dynamic sounds.

Released at the end of 2018, it stands out notably for its random fluctuating phase modulation, designed to add controlled, lively instability to repeats without falling into a caricatured chorus effect.

For Which Guitarists and Uses?

This pedal is aimed at musicians who want a delay capable of everything: from precise and discreet slapback to very deep ambient washes, including tempo-synchronized rhythms. It is especially suitable for rock, pop, fusion, prog, worship, and post-rock guitarists who need clean, articulated repeats that are easy to place in a dense mix.

In the studio, the 3-band equalizer and fine input level control help sculpt a delay that does not mask the playing. In live settings, the presets, trails management, and MIDI make the Future Factory very comfortable: you can switch from a short delay to a wide texture without touching the knobs, while keeping smooth transitions between your sounds.

Features and Controls: A Dual, Flexible, and Connected Delay

At the heart of the Future Factory are two delay units that can be combined in parallel (to widen and layer) or in series (to create complex and evolving repeats). There is also a phase inversion function on the delay, useful for optimizing the blend with the dry signal depending on your chain, amps, or stereo setup.

The shaping is particularly comprehensive: a 3-band equalizer to adjust bass, mids, and treble of the repeats, and soft clipping to soften, round off, or thicken the delay texture. The pedal also offers an instrument/line input level switch, handy if you use it with a guitar, multi-effects, preamp, effects loop, or more "line" level sources.

Regarding control, the tap tempo input facilitates synchronization, the trails function allows repeats to continue after bypassing, and the preset switching (1 to 4) provides immediate access to your main sounds. For advanced rigs, MIDI support opens the door to preset recall and clean integration into a switching system.

The Sound

The Future Factory aims for a hi-fi, very defined sound with repeats that maintain excellent clarity, even on long or rhythmic settings. The 3-band equalizer allows you to go from a bright and detailed delay to a darker, more recessed delay, ideal for supporting a solo without overpowering it. The "fluctuating phase" modulation adds subtle and organic movement: perfect for thickening a clean tone, adding depth to a crunch, or building atmospheres without losing attack.

Thanks to the analog mixer and HTS circuit, the feel remains responsive under the fingers: the pedal follows playing nuances well and pairs easily with overdrives, distortions, and fuzz, whether you seek a clear presence or a more blended texture.
