A Pedalboard Reverb at the Level of Eventide Racks
Awarded a TEC Award 2012 at NAMM (category amplification and effects for musical instruments), the Space translates the DNA of Eventide processors into pedal format. It features algorithms directly taken from the brand's flagship machines (H8000FW and Eclipse V4), with a clear philosophy: to offer studio-quality reverbs capable of going far beyond simple ambiance, reaching the most creative soundscapes.
In total, the Space includes 12 types of reverb : Room, Plate, Spring, Hall, Reverse, Shimmer, ModEchoVerb, DualVerb, Blackhole, MangledVerb, TremoloVerb, DynaVerb. Each algorithm can serve as a "classic" reverb or as a starting point for more experimental combinations.
For Which Musicians and Situations?
The Eventide Space is aimed at demanding guitarists and bassists, but also suits all sources: solo instruments, vocals, drums, or even submixes and full mixes. If you're looking for a characterful reverb to enrich a high-end pedalboard or a reliable solution to achieve sophisticated ambiances live, it stands as a reference.
It fits well with blues, rock, and pop sounds (Room, Plate, Spring, Hall) as well as ambient, post-rock, electro, and sound design worlds (Shimmer, Reverse, Blackhole, MangledVerb). In the studio, it becomes a creative tool to add depth, movement, and a true spatial signature, with a very musical response to playing nuances.

Questions frequently asked
What reverb algorithms does the Eventide Space offer?
The 12 algorithms include Room, Plate, Spring, Hall, Reverse, Shimmer, ModEchoVerb, DualVerb, Blackhole, MangledVerb, TremoloVerb, and DynaVerb. The Shimmer, Reverse, and Blackhole modes notably allow for creating extended textures.
Does the pedal operate in stereo?
The two mono 6.35 mm jack inputs and two mono 6.35 mm jack outputs support either mono or stereo use. Input 1 and output 1 provide mono operation.
Can this reverb be controlled via MIDI?
Full MIDI control is available via USB or 5-pin DIN MIDI In and MIDI Out/Thru connectors. Synchronization can follow the MIDI Clock. Firmware updates are done through the USB type B port using a USB 2.0 cable.
What live controls are accessible on the Space?
Ten potentiometers provide access to real-time parameters, supplemented by a Tap Tempo. A programmable Hotswitch can recall a specific function, while the stereo 6.35 mm Aux jack accepts an expression pedal (not included).
Can it be connected to a console or vocal mic?
This unit accepts instrument or line level signals and can process solo instruments, vocals, drums, or full mixes. Its input impedance is 500 kOhms and the recommended output load is 10 kOhms or higher.
