The Supa-Trem Junior retains the sonic DNA of the Supa-Trem 1 while taking ergonomics and live performance capabilities even further. The heart of the circuit remains unchanged: the JFET preamp (Analog Devices), which delivers an organic, slightly "thickened" character that is highly musical, especially when you hit the strings a little harder. In the Junior version, the format becomes ultra pedalboard-friendly thanks to the top-mounted jacks and a road-ready chassis, without compromising what has made the series so renowned: an expressive optical Tremolo with a deeply "vintage" feel under the fingers.

This pedal is designed for guitarists looking for a precise and musical tremolo, equally suited to subtle textures and highly pronounced rhythmic effects. In blues, surf, rock or indie, it lets you quickly find the pulse thanks to tap tempo, while the Half/Double function is ideal for moving from a laid-back verse to a more energetic chorus without touching the settings. In the studio, it stands out for its stability and consistency at both low and high volumes, while live it makes things easier: visible tempo, silent switching and genuinely useful foot control.

The Supa-Trem Junior combines a dedicated digital processor for the oscillator (used only to manage the modulation) with a 100% analog audio signal. The result: the precision of modern control, with the feel and dynamics of an analog circuit. Tap Tempo is built in, and a 6.35 mm Jack input allows you to add an external tap switch. The Half/Double function is activated by holding down the Tap switch for approximately 3/4 of a second, providing genuine performance control for doubling or halving the speed on the fly.

The speed range is particularly wide: the pedal can go very slow (one complete cycle takes approximately 10 seconds) and reach fast speeds beyond 220 bpm. In terms of character, the waveform selector offers a square wave (sharp and rhythmic), a modified sine wave (softer, more "old school") and a warble that creates a more lively, almost pulsing movement, perfect for adding depth to sustained chords.

This is an optical tremolo with a full-bodied, expressive response that reacts very closely to your attack: notes remain clear and the effect integrates into your playing without "smothering" it. The modified sine waveform encourages a natural movement, ideal for thickening a clean or light crunch tone, while the square wave turns the guitar into a genuine rhythmic engine, making it highly effective for staccato parts. The warble mode adds a more organic, more "pulsing" vibration that suggests a less mechanical modulation. And if you're looking for a pedal that also delivers a transparent boost, the Supa-Trem Junior can transform accordingly: by increasing the Mix control, you get up to 15 dB to stand out in a mix or push an amplifier without excessive coloration.
