An ACS Designed for Modern Guitarists, Between Classical and High Technology
This ACS fits within the spirit of Godin's nylon performance-oriented models: a guitar designed for amplification, stage use, and modern setups. Positioned as an entry point into the ACS universe with MIDI synth access, it incorporates the fundamentals that have made the series successful: playing comfort, high reliability in live conditions, and integration of specialized electronics to control sounds and textures beyond the traditional guitar.
Who Is It For, and In Which Styles?
This guitar is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want the tone and attack of nylon without the constraints of a classical acoustic on stage. Perfect for jazz, latin, modern flamenco, pop, variety, film music, or fusion, it also excels for stage musicians who alternate between guitar sounds and synth textures via a compatible module.
Sound
The combination of a maple body and solid koa top favors definition, articulation, and a clear attack, with a clean and controlled low end. The acoustic chambers provide a more "alive" feel under the fingers, while the thick top brings the response closer to that of a solid body: stable sustain, controlled dynamics, and especially excellent resistance to feedback at high volume. The RMC system, thanks to its individual pickups and dedicated preamplifier, delivers a precise and balanced amplified sound, particularly effective for chord playing, arpeggios, and fingerstyle, while ensuring reliable tracking for use with hexaphonic and 13-pin outputs.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To utilize the 13-pin connector, a 13-pin cable is recommended to connect to a compatible guitar synthesizer (for example, the GR series). For the standard audio output, a high-quality 6.35 mm instrument jack cable is advised. The guitar is delivered with a gig bag.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Godin ACS Koa Extreme Fig HG suitable for amplified playing?
Thanks to its thick koa top and maple body with acoustic chambers, this guitar prioritizes stability at high volume levels. The RMC system with individual string pickups provides accurate reproduction for arpeggios and detailed chords.
What synth compatibility does this Godin ACS have?
The hexaphonic output on the 13-pin connector offers direct access to the GR series guitar synths. A compatible 13-pin cable is required to use this connection.
Is the neck close to that of a classical guitar?
The Classical Cutaway shape accommodates six nylon strings and a 48.2 mm Graphtech nut. The scale length is 647.7 mm, with a 406.4 mm fretboard radius. The bolt-on neck is mahogany and the fingerboard is composite.
Does this nylon-string guitar limit feedback on stage?
The acoustic chambers provide a more organic feel, while the thick top design maintains strong resistance to feedback. The acoustic projection is deliberately kept low to favor amplified use.
Is a case included with the guitar?
A gig bag is included with the instrument.
