The Sound

The maple hollow body (large 17" size) delivers a sonic signature that is both full and detailed: rich lows, singing mids, and elegant brightness, with plenty of air around the notes. The Arc-Tone bracing contributes to dynamic response and great projection, ideal for crisp rhythms as well as melodic lines. The Pro-FT Filter'Tron pickups provide a classic Gretsch tone: definition, controlled twang, and clear attack, while remaining powerful enough for denser sounds. On the control side, the master volume with treble bleed maintains clarity when lowering the level, while the "no-load" master tone opens the signal when at maximum for a more direct sound.
