A Jet Electromatic designed for Gretsch energy, accessible and faithful to the original spirit
The G5232T Electromatic Double Jet FT follows the Gretsch tradition of "Jet" guitars: a compact, lively, and resonant format designed to deliver a very recognizable blend of punch, controlled brightness, and musical grain. Within the Electromatic range, it aims for a particularly interesting balance between premium feel (chambered body, arched maple top, Bigsby hardware) and modern versatility thanks to electronics designed for stage performance.
For whom and for which styles?
This electric guitar is aimed at intermediate as well as advanced guitarists seeking a solid-body with a distinctive character but easy to tame daily. It excels in rock, rockabilly, blues, indie, and pop, and remains very credible with more saturated tones thanks to the definition of the Filter'Tron pickups. The Bigsby vibrato is perfect for adding nuances (vibratos, shimmers, chord embellishments) rather than extreme effects.
The sound
The core of the character comes from the chambered mahogany body: you get present lows, rich mids, and a sense of resonance that brings life to your playing, while maintaining good sustain when turning up the volume. The arched maple top provides a sharper attack and better-defined highs, helping the guitar cut through a mix without becoming harsh. The Black Top Filter'Tron pickups complete the package with a wide and balanced tone: a Gretsch-typical clarity, well-controlled lows, and excellent chord articulation. On the control side, the individual volumes and the master volume with treble bleed allow lowering the volume without losing too much high end, handy for switching from crunch to clean tones simply by adjusting the knob.
