The HK Audio POLAR 15 MK2 sits at the top of the POLAR MK2 series. Its 15-inch bass loudspeaker and generous enclosure volume reinforce the low end while retaining the principle of a column PA system that is easy to set up. It builds on the range’s key features: convenient transport, accessible controls and an elegant design.

This generation features a low-resonance aluminium profile column and a completely redesigned mechanical connection between its elements. The M20 FlexMount thread completes this evolution: it allows a bar for compact lighting fixtures or other accessories to be mounted directly on the subwoofer, reducing the number of stands around the system.

For mobile DJs, musicians and event performances

This active column PA system is aimed at DJs looking for consistent low-end performance over extended periods, as well as bands with drums, acoustic ensembles with cajon and solo performers. Its low-frequency headroom suits musical programmes where the kick drum and bass need to retain their presence.

The integrated mixer allows microphones, keyboard, guitar or DJ equipment to be connected without an external console in many configurations. For conferences or seated audiences, the column can be used without its spacer element. The 120-degree horizontal dispersion helps cover the audience, while the Delay setting allows use as a remote delayed reinforcement system.

Precise sound distribution and controls designed for the field

The mid/high section combines six 3-inch loudspeakers with neodymium magnets and a 1-inch precision tweeter mounted on a constant-directivity horn. The rigid aluminium profile limits resonances to preserve vocal and instrument intelligibility. The wooden enclosure, designed to resist torsion, helps deliver a tight, well-defined low end.

The two mic/line channels on combination XLR/jack sockets feature individual gains and switchable phantom power for condenser microphones. A high-impedance instrument input accommodates a guitar, while the auxiliary channel handles the stereo RCA input and Bluetooth audio. The Push-to-Edit control, LCD screen and level indicators make adjustments easy.

The DSP offers Music, Voice and DJ modes, three-band equalisation with semi-parametric mids and five user memories. Bluetooth TWS allows two POLAR MK2 systems to stream a stereo signal from a smartphone or tablet. The USB-C port is for charging only. To further reinforce the bass, the system can be paired with one or two PORTABLE SUB 115 A or 118 A subwoofers.
