A series born from a Franco-German collaboration, designed for pedagogy
The result of a Franco-German technical collaboration, the NOVA series follows a clear approach: to offer educational institutions a lightweight, robust, and coherent accordion to support the first years of learning. The concept is to combine a size adapted for children with technological elements worthy of larger models, to encourage progress with a motivating and reliable instrument.
An accordion tailored for young students, schools, and teachers
This HOHNER NOVA is primarily aimed at young accordionists who are beginning or consolidating their basics, as well as accordion classes seeking an instrument that is easy to manage daily. Its compact format facilitates posture, bellows control, and keyboard precision, while remaining sufficiently complete to work on fundamentals: articulation, regularity, right-hand/left-hand coordination, and rhythmic placement.
HOHNER technology and playing comfort: the essentials without the superfluous
A mechanism designed to learn "like on a full-size"
The NOVA line incorporates HOHNER technological expertise on the key accordion elements: register mechanisms, bass mechanisms, and bellows. The goal is to preserve realistic sensations and consistent response, so the student develops good technical reflexes from the start.
Mobility and protection for school life
Because an instrument intended for teaching must also be easy to live with, the accordion comes with a reinforced case designed for transport. The backpack-style portable format with a pair of shoulder straps and back attachment facilitates home-to-conservatory journeys, limits shocks, and secures handling by younger players.
