The first model in the new CX series, the CX102 condenses Kawai's pianistic expertise into an elegant and accessible cabinet. Its goal: to offer the character and tone of a grand Kawai piano while simplifying learning and integration into a modern setup. An ideal model for serious beginners to progress over time without sacrificing the feel of a real piano.

Keyboard Design

The CX102 features 88 graded Responsive Hammer Lite (RHL) keys, heavier in the bass and lighter in the treble, just like an acoustic piano. Two sensors per note ensure fine velocity detection, while the matte key surface improves grip. Three sensitivity levels allow you to adjust the keyboard response to your touch and repertoire.

Sound Quality

The "Harmonic Imaging" sampling sound source faithfully reproduces the main tone of the "Shigeru Kawai SK-EX Concert Grand". 17 voices (pianos, EPs, organs, strings, vibraphone, harpsichord, basses, etc.) and 192-note polyphony guarantee rich textures even during dense passages. The damper resonance enhances realism, and the amplification system with 2 x 11 W and 2 speakers measuring 12 x 2 cm provides pleasant projection.
