A Korg furniture piano designed for the home, without compromising playability
Designed to integrate naturally into an interior, the Korg LP 380 embodies the spirit of "furniture" digital pianos: a slim line, immediate handling, and playing sensations focused on essentials. It is aimed both at pianists seeking a reliable instrument for daily practice and those wanting an elegant digital piano, ready to play, with weighted touch and built-in amplification.Keyboard design
At the heart of the LP 380, the RH3 (Real Weighted Hammer Action, 88 keys) keyboard offers a heavy touch with a response designed to closely mimic an acoustic piano, especially in attack handling and dynamic control. The velocity sensitivity faithfully translates playing intent, from the softest pianissimo to fortissimo, allowing precise expression work, from arpeggios to block chords.Sound quality
The sound section relies on stereo PCM sampling intended to reproduce the character of acoustic and electric pianos, complemented by a set of useful tones to vary registers (strings, organs, and other accompaniment sounds). With a polyphony of 120 voices, the LP 380 maintains clarity of harmonies and sustain of resonances, even during sustained playing. The sympathetic resonance and pedal mechanical noise add an organic dimension, appreciated in classical repertoire as well as pop ballads. On the output side, the 2 x 22 W amplification combined with 2 x 10 cm speakers offers a broad, balanced, and sufficiently defined sound for a living room, classroom, or small rehearsal space.Built-in effects
- Reverb: adds space and a more natural placement of the piano in the mix.
- Chorus: thickens the sound and adds movement, particularly pleasant on electric sounds.
- Brilliance/EQ: adjusts tonal balance to adapt the timbre to the room, playing style, and volume.
