A New Generation of KORG Arrangers at the Top of the Pa Series
Designed as the direct successor to the Pa4X, the KORG Pa5X-76 stands as the modern flagship of the Pa-Series. The goal is clear: to offer a high-end arranger designed for stage, entertainment, and production, with updated ergonomics, immediate performance tools, and a sound architecture crafted to chain songs seamlessly. The result is an all-in-one arranger keyboard that centralizes sounds, styles, audio playback, and repertoire management within a fast and reliable workflow.
Keyboard Design
76-key semi-weighted keyboard (E1-G7) with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch: an ideal format for playing full accompaniments, expressive leads, and piano parts without feeling cramped. The dynamic response highlights nuances (attack, sustain, release), while aftertouch allows real-time control of vibrato, filter, effects, or any useful live assignment. Split, layer, and zone modes, combined with assignable velocity curves, facilitate creating coherent setups from one song to another.
Sound Quality
The EDS-XP (Enhanced Definition Synthesis - Expanded) sound engine combines detailed multisamples and advanced modulation to cover acoustic and electric pianos, drawbar organs, iconic KORG synth sounds, and ready-to-produce orchestral ensembles. With 160 voices of polyphony and 24 stereo oscillators, the Pa5X-76 maintains headroom even on complex layers, extended splits, and dense arrangements. Drum kits with round-robins enhance groove realism, and the SST (Smooth Sound Transition) function ensures sound, style, or song changes without interruption-a real plus for live transitions. For direct monitoring, it is compatible with the optional KORG PaAS amplification system.
