The Sauvage Series: the Lâg spirit between innovation and eco-design
Launched after a first “TRAVEL” version in 2022, the Lâg Sauvage range was expanded in 2023 to cover the brand’s flagship body shapes. It stands out through the use of FSC-certified BrankoWood and a manufacturing and finishing process designed to limit its environmental impact, without sacrificing aesthetics or playing experience. With its organic look and wolf-adorned rosette, the Sauvage asserts a strong identity within the Lâg acoustic guitar family.
Which guitarists and styles is it suited to?
This folk acoustic guitar is aimed at beginner to intermediate guitarists looking for a comfortable, expressive and reliable dreadnought, as well as more advanced musicians seeking a rugged guitar for regular playing. Its body shape and balanced response make it equally at home in pop, folk, acoustic rock, French chanson and energetic strumming, while it remains convincing for fingerpicking thanks to its good definition.
The sound
The solid Pale BrankoWood top delivers a clear attack and excellent responsiveness, making it suitable for both rhythm playing and subtle picking dynamics. The laminated smoked eucalyptus back and sides promote stability and consistent projection, while the arched back contributes to a fuller projection and rich bass, typical of a well-built dreadnought. The graphite nut and saddle optimize vibration transfer and tuning stability, while the compensated saddle helps maintain improved intonation, particularly in open positions.
Recommended compatible accessories
As this guitar comes with 80/20 Bronze steel strings in 12–53 gauge, you can keep the same gauge when replacing them to preserve the playing feel and tonal balance. The supplied padded gig bag is ideal for everyday transport and protection.
