A Pedal Format Forged in the Ironheart Heritage

The LOUDPEDAL is part of the Ironheart Foundry series, designed to concentrate the Ironheart DNA into a "flat on the floor" format: a modern solution to maintain volume, impact, and a real amp feel without carrying a bulky head. Laney claims expertise dating back to 1967 in England, and this approach is reflected here in the balance between big sound, robustness, and simple pedalboard integration.
Conceived as the heart of a compact rig, it can also fit into more traditional setups: as a complement to an already full pedalboard or as a reliable "plan B" to ensure a gig, session, or fly-in date.

Who Is the LOUDPEDAL For and In What Contexts?

The Laney Ironheart Foundry LOUDPEDAL targets intermediate to professional guitarists who want a quick-to-deploy solution, consistent from gig to gig, and powerful enough for real stage use. It's a natural choice for styles where attack and low-end sustain matter: rock, hard rock, metal, but also for more restrained genres when you seek a clean, clear tone and good chord definition.
In practice, it excels in three scenarios: powering a passive speaker cabinet (rehearsal, backline, small stage), outputting via DI to the mixing console (front of house/IEM, studio), or becoming the central element of a minimalist pedalboard for traveling light.

Channels, Controls, and Integration: A True Rig Platform

The LOUDPEDAL features 2 channels, each with Gain and Volume: you can precisely balance your levels between clean/crunch and lead, or set two distinct saturation levels. Channel 1 offers clean, rhythm, and lead modes to structure your core sound, from solid clean to more aggressive drive. Channel 2 adds a bright, natural, or dark voicing to instantly adjust brightness, attack, and density depending on the guitar, pickups, and speaker cabinet used.
The 3-band passive EQ favors musical and gradual adjustments, especially useful when switching between DI (speaker simulation) and a real cabinet. The Boost enhances presence and bite to cut through the mix, typically for a solo or riff that needs to "stand out" without changing everything.
On the integration side, the transformer-isolated effects loop is a real plus: it limits ground loop issues and eases placement of modulation, delay, and reverb effects. The balanced male XLR DI output with switchable analog speaker simulation allows you to go direct into a console, recorder, or interface with quick and efficient setup.

Sound

The signature Ironheart sound is present: dense, focused distortion, precise attack, and a pleasing reserve under the fingers, especially on palm mutes and rich chords. The various modes and voicings allow you to move from a clean, clear tone to a muscular crunch, then to a more modern gain, all while maintaining good definition and responsive dynamics.
In DI mode, the analog simulation aims for efficiency: a coherent, mix-ready sound, very practical for live and home studio when you want to avoid mic'ing the amp. In the Ironheart spirit, the tool is designed for guitarists who play loud and precise: artists like Vernon Reid and Mattias IA Eklundh have notably praised the concept and format, proving that the LOUDPEDAL clearly positions itself among modern, fast, stage-oriented rigs.
