Built for Outdoor Use: Architectural Mapping, Open-Air Stages, and Large Capacity Clubs

Designed for touring and fixed installations, the PL-5500RGB Outdoor MK2 delivers powerful aerial beams visible over long distances and sharp graphics for facade mappings, illuminated signage, and outdoor scenographies. Its waterproof housing protects the laser source and electronics, ensuring consistent performance in light rain, wind, or ambient humidity. The 120 built-in patterns allow you to create tunnels, waves, and sawtooth effects in a flash, perfect for improvising a show or complementing a timecode timeline.

Who Is It For?

This Class 4 projector is intended for event professionals, lighting engineers, clubs and theaters, amusement parks, and festivals. Mobile DJs and AV integrators will appreciate its versatile control options and beam stability for tight and precise beams. Due to its classification, it is reserved for trained operators, in compliance with safety regulations and on-site signage.

Features and Innovations

The optical core is based on dedicated RGB diodes (red 638 nm, green 520 nm, blue 450 nm) offering excellent saturation and homogeneous white balance. The low divergence of 1.0 mrad and 5 mm output diameter ensure fine beams, ideal for precise ILDA drawings as well as punchy aerial cones.

On the dynamic side, the 45 kpps @ 8 deg ILDA scanners allow for texts, logos, and complex figures with minimal flicker. The maximum scanning angle of 50 degrees enables wide stage coverage, useful for filling a dome, highlighting a stage front, or covering a building facade.

The PL-5500RGB Outdoor MK2 shines with its connectivity: LAN and ArtNet for network integration, ILDA streaming to control your drawings in real-time from compatible software, and an integrated SD card to launch preloaded shows in full autonomy. The standalone mode simplifies quick performances or permanent installations while maintaining fine control when switching to network control.

To get started immediately, approximately 120 basic effects are included (tunnels, waves, sawtooth patterns, etc.). The bundle includes an emergency stop, a safety key, and the Showeditor software license to edit your sequences and manage your shows precisely. The universal power supply 85-250 V AC, low consumption (100 W), and operating temperature range of -5degC to +40degC suit most professional environments.

In summary, this "Outdoor MK2" model combines robustness, precision, and flexible control for ambitious outdoor laser shows, whether for architectural mapping, festivals, or permanent stage installations.
