Essential information about the Line 6 HX One pedal
- Over 250 effects from the HX family (delay, reverb, modulation, pitch, filters, dynamics, drives) in a compact format designed for the pedalboard.
- Ultra-intuitive editing: OLED screen and 3 potentiometers dedicated to displayed parameters, for quick and precise adjustments both in rehearsal and on stage.
- Flux Controller to automate a transition between two settings of the same effect, triggered via the Tap/Flux pedal.
- Ready for modern rigs: stereo I/O, adjustable input impedance, True Bypass or buffered DSP Bypass, MIDI In and Out/Thru, 128 presets, USB-C, 9V power supply included.
A "Swiss Army knife" pedal in the HX universe, designed to complement a pedalboard
The HX One inherits the processing quality and effects library from Line 6's HX ecosystem, known for its clean, precise, and highly usable sounds in real situations (live, studio, home studio). The idea is simple: instead of replacing your entire pedalboard with a complex multi-effects unit, the HX One acts as a single pedal capable of becoming a chorus, phaser, delay, pitch shifter, ambient reverb, or compressor, depending on the song's needs.
It naturally fits as a "wild card" in the chain: just one pedal to carry, but enough options to cover dozens of sonic colors. And thanks to its 128 preset slots, you can organize your sounds by setlist, guitar, or project.
Who is it for? Guitarists (and bassists) who want versatility without complicating their setup
The Line 6 HX One is aimed both at intermediate musicians who want to explore quality effects without multiplying pedals, and at experienced guitarists looking for a compact, reliable, and controllable solution to complement an already established rig. It's perfect if you play in a band and need to quickly switch from subtle tremolo to rhythmic delay, then to a wider reverb, without rewiring your pedalboard.
Style-wise, it covers a vast range: blues and rock for short delays, spring-like reverbs and boosts/overdrives, pop and funk for clean and dynamic modulations, modern metal for certain pitch and ambience textures, and ambient for layering immersive reverbs. In the studio, it becomes a quick tool to "find the right tone" without opening ten plugins, and live it shines thanks to preset recalls and MIDI.

Questions frequently asked
Line 6 HX One: how many presets can be saved?
The internal memory offers 128 preset slots, allowing organization by setlist, guitar, or project. The three knobs and OLED screen provide access to parameters of the selected effect.
Can the Flux Controller automate a delay or chorus?
The Tap/Flux footswitch triggers the Flux Controller and handles tap tempo according to the selected effect. One or more parameters can transition between two defined values. The change can be gradual or instantaneous.
Does the pedal support MIDI?
The MIDI In and Out/Thru DIN 5-pin connectors receive Program Change and Control Change messages. Preset recall and parameter automation can thus be controlled from a MIDI controller.
What type of looper is integrated?
Two types of looper, Simple and Shuffling, are available in mono or stereo, with up to 60 seconds in mono and 30 seconds in stereo at full speed.
Can it operate in stereo and with an expression pedal?
Thanks to the two 6.35 mm jack inputs and two outputs, a stereo setup is possible. An optional expression pedal, two external footswitches, or one of each type can be connected.
