The sound

The alder body provides a very musical balance: firm lows, present mids, and a clean high end, which helps the bass sit well in a mix. The maple fretboard enhances definition and attack, ideal for articulated lines and dynamic fingerstyle playing. The MB Noiseless JJ Style pickups retain the grain and versatility of the JJ format while limiting hum, and the passive electronics favor natural dynamics: you shape the character with the two volume controls (one per pickup) and a tone control that softens or opens the high end without altering the feel.
