Martinez Guitars Hispania Figured

An Hispania Designed for Amplified Playing and Versatility

With the Hispania Figured Figured, Martinez offers a guitar oriented towards "performance": a chambered body (more resonant than a solid) combined with a full preamp chain. This approach aims to provide a consistent response, comfortable playability, and reliable sound control, both at home and in amplified setups.

For Whom and Which Styles?

Thanks to its 650 mm scale length and wide nut, this guitar naturally targets players seeking a generous feel and precise right-hand placement. It is well suited for intermediate to advanced profiles who want a guitar that is both expressive and practical for stage, studio, or headphone practice. Regarding repertoire, it is particularly suited for detailed and nuanced playing (accompaniment, arpeggios, arrangements) where definition and dynamic control are essential.

Sound Characteristics

The bubinga top provides a clear attack and excellent clarity, while the mahogany (back, sides, and neck) contributes to a warm and balanced response with present mids. The chambered solidbody format promotes a sense of sustain and controlled projection, while remaining very comfortable in amplified environments.

The amplification section combines a piezo pickup (precise, direct, rich in attack) and a body microphone (more airy, more organic). The DerJung preamp allows adjustment of the blend and tone via the 3-band EQ and dedicated controls (piezo and mic levels), enabling you to switch from a clear, percussive sound to a more natural and "woody" tone, depending on your playing and sound system.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

The guitar is delivered with a gig bag. For USB use, a good quality standard USB-C cable is recommended to ensure a reliable connection.
