A 1969 Muff... compressed into the Olinthus micro universe
Inspired by the legendary Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi from 1969, the Earwig captures the spirit of this cult fuzz: a wall of sound, natural compression, and that "syrupy" sustain that turns a simple riff into a vocal line. Within the Olinthus range (specializing in ultra-compact pedals), the Earwig stands as the radical fuzz solution: big vintage voice, minimal footprint.
For whom and for what: from rock to stoner, and far beyond
The Olinthus Earwig is aimed at all guitarists and bassists who want an immediate analog fuzz pedal, without menus or complications. Perfect for rock, grunge, stoner, garage, punk, but also for more experimental textures, it excels both in riff and lead playing. In the studio, it delivers dense saturation that fills the mix; live, it offers an instant character boost, even on an already crowded pedalboard.

What power supply is required for the Earwig?
The required power supply is 9 V DC with center negative, providing at least 50 mA of current. The voltage must not exceed 9 V.
How to connect this fuzz to a pedalboard?
The included breakout cable provides a 6.35 mm mono jack input, a 6.35 mm mono jack output, and a 9 V power input. The pedal uses a unique TRRS connector on its enclosure.
What controls are available on the pedal?
With the Tone, Sustain, and Level controls, it is possible to adjust the tonal balance, saturation level, and output volume respectively. The Sustain also affects compression and note sustain. Activation is by pressing the hinged chassis, with a red LED indicator.

Its anodized aluminum chassis measures 30 × 45 × 22 mm and weighs 30 g, for a very compact integration.
