A New "G2" Generation Designed for Modern Monitoring
The Palmer MONICON L G2 G continues the line of compact monitoring controllers designed to simplify studio listening management while meeting current usage needs. This new generation further enhances daily versatility: integration of Bluetooth reception to listen to a reference from a smartphone, clear management of sources and outputs thanks to independent selectors with LEDs, and an architecture that preserves the essentials for mixing: an analog audio path focused on transparency.
The internal power supply supports functions requiring energy (Bluetooth receiver, headphone amplifier, and output 3), while the signal path remains designed to offer latency-free listening and quick decision-making, whether you are in a home studio, project studio, or compact control room.
Who and What For: A Monitoring Control Center for Home and Project Studios
The MONICON L G2 G is tailored for setups where you need to switch from one source to another and from one pair of speakers to another in seconds: music production, mixing, composition, light post-production, content creation, and audio editing. It is especially suitable if you use: an audio interface as the main output, an external player (or a second source) via the AUX input, and a Bluetooth source to quickly compare your mixes to references.
Thanks to its two stereo outputs, you can switch between main monitors and nearfield listening, or between a pair of monitors and a secondary system. The mono output provides real cabling convenience to integrate a subwoofer or a mono control speaker without any workaround and without losing level control logic.
Key Features: Precise Control, Listening Comfort, and Seamless Switching
An Analog Path for Immediate Listening
In monitoring, responsiveness is crucial: the MONICON L G2 G relies on an analog audio signal path to maintain direct listening without latency caused by processing. The large volume potentiometer, with a firm touch, promotes fine level adjustment to work at a constant volume and properly judge the mix balance.
Source and Output Management: Clear, Fast, Readable
Three stereo inputs are available: a balanced input on Combo XLR/TRS jack for your interface or console, an AUX input, and a Bluetooth input for digital devices. On the output side, two stereo buses allow controlling multiple listening setups, and an additional mono output completes the set. Dedicated buttons with LED indicators make selection very clear, even in low-light environments.
MONO, DIM, MUTE Controls: Studio Reflexes Within Reach
Integrated control functions facilitate everyday actions: Mono to check compatibility and center balances, Dim to quickly lower the level without touching your reference setting, Mute to instantly cut the output. Result: you stay focused on listening, not navigating menus.
Headphone Output with PFL: Isolated Pre-Listening, Smoother Workflow
The headphone output has its own volume control and a PFL (pre-fade listen) function that allows monitoring an input signal without affecting the main mix. This is particularly useful for checking a Bluetooth/AUX source, validating an incoming level, or preparing a reference while keeping the monitor output stable.
Passive and Active Modes: Flexibility According to Your Setup
The MONICON L G2 G is designed to operate in both passive and active modes, facilitating its integration into different setups. The internal power supply is dedicated to elements that need it (Bluetooth, headphone amplifier, and output 3), while maintaining a simplicity-oriented philosophy: a desktop unit, direct controls, and ergonomics designed for the studio desk.

Questions frequently asked
Does the Palmer MONICON L G2 G accept a Bluetooth source?
The built-in Bluetooth receiver allows listening to a reference from a smartphone or another digital device, in addition to the AUX input and the balanced input.
How many pairs of speakers can be connected?
Two stereo outputs allow connecting two monitoring systems, for example main monitors and nearfield monitors. A balanced mono XLR output is also available for a subwoofer or a mono control speaker.
What input connections are available?
The main balanced input uses a Combo XLR/TRS jack connector. A stereo AUX input on a mini-jack completes the connectivity for a second source. The Bluetooth input constitutes the third selectable stereo source.
Does the headphone output allow independent pre-listening?
Thanks to the PFL function and the dedicated volume control, the headphones can monitor an input signal without changing the monitor levels.
Are Mono, Dim, and Mute functions available?
Dedicated selectors with LEDs provide access to MONO, DIM, MUTE, and PFL functions. The analog audio path is designed for latency-free listening due to processing.
