Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
First launched in 1982, the Pearl Export has become an essential reference for learning and early gigs, notably due to its "all-inclusive" approach and robustness. This edition fully embraces that spirit: offering an accessible acoustic drum set that is coherent and scalable, capable of supporting the drummer from their first grooves to regular rehearsals with a band. Within the Pearl range, the Export positions itself as a serious entry point: sufficiently high-quality to work on precision, sound, and dynamics, while remaining easy to handle.
Who This Drum Set/Instrument Is For
The Pearl Export is ideal for beginner drummers seeking a reliable true acoustic kit, as well as for intermediate players looking for a complete set to rehearse, record demos, and play their first stage parts. Its configuration immediately feels comfortable in rock, pop, funk, and variety styles: the 22" bass drum provides foundation and impact, while the toms offer a wide tuning range, from tight and precise settings to work on cleanliness, to lower tensions for a more massive sound.
