The swamp ash highlights a quick response and excellent definition, while the electronics, designed to maintain consistent output levels across positions, invite uncompromising exploration: from bright bite to thicker grain, simply by adjusting tone and pickup combinations.

For which guitarists and styles?

This PRS is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want a single guitar capable of covering a wide range of styles, both in the studio and on stage. Its spectrum naturally leans toward registers where articulation matters: hot country, blues, funk, pop, modern jazz, but also rock when engaging the 58/15 LT humbuckers. The tremolo allows adding vibratos and expressive nuances without sacrificing intonation.

The sound

The foundation comes from the solidbody swamp ash body, known for its firm lows, present highs, and a "snappy" attack that highlights playing nuances. The 58/15 LT (bass/treble) pickups flank a central PRS Narrowfield: you get full, singing humbucker tones, airier textures via splits, and a more incisive single-coil color in the middle with less noise. The 5-position selector and two mini-switches multiply balances between brightness, growl, and snap, while maintaining a consistent volume level across positions.
